I have a passion for helping improve the lives of people with disabilities, and I feel immensely privileged and thankful for all the opportunities Dr. Balcazar and his team have given me to help make a difference. Thanks to the Add Us In Initiative and the hard work of CCBMDR and others, the state of Illinois invested in the development of a business incubator and vocational training program to provide people with disabilities all the supports and services needed to start a business. I am a vocational instructor and teach a course on business software at this incubator – which has been incredibly rewarding. In the future, I would love to be able to implement and lead this program in another part of the country.
