Molly Buren received her Masters degree from National Louis University in special education. She is a doc student at University of Illinois at Chicago in the special education department and is currently working as a graduate assistant with the Transition Model Implementation project and Project SET at UIC. Ms. Buren has 15 years of teaching experience in special education middle school, high school, and postsecondary ed. She has led numerous professional development workshops on diversity, inclusion, differentiation, and implementing common core standards in inclusive settings. Ms. Buren’s research interests revolve around culturally and linguistically diverse families’ experiences, involvement, and satisfaction with schools and the IEP process.
